The Wieliczka Salt Mine is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of Poland's most precious cultural monuments. Over a million tourists from around the world visit the salt mine yearly to see its exquisite carvings and reliefs.

The mine continuously produced salt from the 13th century until 1996. The tourist route reaches a depth of 135 meters and is 3.5-kilometers long. The 2 hour walking tour encompasses many sites including numerous rock salt statues, chandeliers and a magnificent cathedral. Along the way the tour guide will showcase original miner tools and equipment as well as describe the daily life of the Wieliczka miners as they excavated salt far below the earth's surface.

The memorial site of the largest concentration and extermination camp in Europe is Auschwitz-Birkenau. This horrific reminder of the Holocaust was established by the Germans in 1940 in the suburbs of Oswiecim, a Polish town that was annexed to the third Reich by the Nazis. Auschwitz-Birkenau was inscribed on the World Heritage List in 1979.

Before walking on the grounds visit the museum for a 15-minute documentary film about the liberation of the camp and receive a museum-guide pamphlet of specific locations of exhibitions in the prison block buildings as well as the gas chamber and crematorium. View the infamous sign "Arbeit macht frei" (work makes you free) above the entrance to the camp.

During this tour you will explore the natural components of a Jurassic landscape in the Ojcow National Park. In the Ojcow National Park, which covers a surface area of 1440 hectares in the Valley of the Pradnik enclosed by Pieskowa Skala cliffs, you can see virtually all of the natural components of a Jurassic landscape.

Driving along a winding road, we pass breathtaking Jurassic rock formations such as the "Cracovian Gate" and the "Club of Hercules"- the unbelievable limestone column which seems to be placed upside down. Krakow’s fabled Oskar Schindler’s Factory of Enameled Vessels ‘Emalia’ has been turned in 2010 into a modern museum devoted to the wartime experiences, exhibition is entitled: Krakow Under Nazi Occupation from 1939 till 1945. The last admission to the exhibition is 90 minutes before the closing time. Organized groups will not be attended to on Mondays. On Mondays the exhibition is free of charge, however due to security issues the number of tickets is limited, in this case the time of arrival is a vital factor.
